Accessibility Statement
Effective date: 21 July 2026 Last updated: 5 November 2026 Version: 2.2, replaces version 2.1 dated 4 November 2026
Attarha Homes is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. This statement describes what we actually do, what we have verified, and what is still outstanding.
What changed in this version. The previous version said automated accessibility checks run on every release and block it. That is not yet true, so we no longer say it. This version also covers the listings map, blog videos and the member account pages.
Standard we aim for
WCAG 2.2, Level AA.
We treat this as a build requirement rather than an aspiration, and check new features against it as we build them.
What we do
- Semantic structure, real headings in order, landmarks, and lists, so screen readers can navigate the page rather than read it as a wall of text.
- Keyboard operation, every interactive element is reachable and usable by keyboard, including the neighbourhood map and the calculators. Focus is always visible; we never remove focus outlines.
- A skip link on every page, to jump past navigation.
- Text alternatives, meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; decorative images are marked so assistive technology skips them.
- Colour contrast, every text colour is measured against its background, in both light and dark themes, to meet at least 4.5:1. Two colours in our palette were changed during design because they failed this test.
- Touch targets of at least 44×44 pixels.
- Live results, calculator output and progress counters are announced to screen readers as they change.
- Reduced motion, if your system requests reduced motion, animation is switched off globally, not per component.
- Content without JavaScript, the text of our public pages is readable with JavaScript disabled. The calculators, the map views, the address report, and the member account need it.
- A text equivalent for every map, the interactive neighbourhood map has an equivalent list of links, and the listings map has list and grid views with the same homes, so nothing is available only by pointing at a map.
Known limitations
We would rather name these than imply the Site is perfect:
- Third-party content. We do not control the accessibility of the external MLS search partner, the Google map and address suggestions, or the YouTube video player in blog posts. A blog video always has a link to watch it on YouTube instead, and the address field works as a plain text box.
- Inherited content. Some text and imagery carried over from our previous website is still being reviewed for alt-text quality and heading structure.
- Testing coverage. We do not yet run automated accessibility tests as part of releasing the Site, and we have not commissioned an independent third-party audit.
If something is not accessible to you
Please tell us, we will fix it, and in the meantime we will get you the information another way.
Email: support@ateam.homes · Phone/text: 925-316-3616
We aim to respond within 2 business days. If you tell us what you were trying to do, we will provide that information in an accessible format regardless of how long the underlying fix takes.
Fair housing
Accessibility and fair housing are related commitments. Attarha Homes complies with the federal Fair Housing Act and California fair housing law. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, religion, sex, disability, familial status, national origin, or any other protected characteristic.
Ongoing effort
Accessibility is not a one-time task. We review it as we add features and content, and this statement is updated when what we do changes.
