Data Deletion Instructions
Effective date: 5 November 2026 Last updated: 5 November 2026 Version: 1.0
This page explains how to delete what this site holds about you: parts of it yourself, at any time, or all of it by asking us. The Privacy Policy explains what we hold and why.
1. Delete things yourself
Signed in, under My Account:
| What | Where |
|---|---|
| Your saved home search | My Home Search › Delete |
| Your saved budget | Affordability › Delete my budget (it leaves your account at once; we keep a copy until the account is deleted, see section 2) |
| A home and its value | My Properties › remove the home |
| A file you uploaded | My Files › Delete |
| An address you checked | Check Environment › Delete (it leaves your list at once and is erased with all address checks after 90 days) |
| A partner you invited, or a search shared with you | My Home Search › Your partner › remove, or leave the shared search |
| Marketing emails | Notification Preferences › switch marketing email off, or use the unsubscribe link in any email |
Anything kept in your own browser (your theme, ticked guide steps, town comparison, listings layout) is removed by clearing your browser's data for this site. The Cookie Policy lists every item.
2. Delete your account and data: email request
There is no "delete account" button yet, so send an email to support@ateam.homes with the subject Data Deletion Request, from the email address of your account (or tell us the address you used on a form). We will confirm that we received it within 10 business days and complete it within 45 days. If we need to confirm that the request really comes from you, we will reply to that address first.
You may also ask by phone or text on 925-316-3616. An authorised agent may ask for you.
3. What gets deleted
- Your account: profile, photo, email address, phone and the other personal details you entered
- Your sign-in details: password, and the link to Google, Facebook or Apple if you used them
- Your sessions, so every device is signed out
- Your preferences: saved budget (and any you deleted earlier), My Home Search, listings layout, notification and marketing choices
- Recommended Properties: your folders, our notes and the documents in them
- My Files: every file you uploaded
- My Properties: your homes and their values
- Your notifications
- Partner sharing, in both directions
4. What we keep, and why
- Enquiries and questionnaires you sent us, and the record of the consent you gave. These are our business records. They are no longer linked to an account. California real estate rules require us to keep certain transaction records for three years; anything not needed for that, you may ask us to delete in the same email.
- Address checks stay unlinked from you and are erased automatically 90 days after the check.
- Site statistics never hold your name, and page-view records are erased after 90 days.
- A record that the account was deleted, so we can show that we did it.
- Newsletter. If you subscribed to the newsletter separately, say so in the same email and we remove that subscription too, or use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter.
5. If you signed in with Facebook, Google or Apple
You can also remove this site from the apps connected to that account (for Facebook: Settings & privacy › Settings › Apps and websites). That stops the provider sharing your details with us from then on, but it does not delete what we already hold. For that, send the email in section 2.
6. Confirmation
We send you an email when the deletion is complete. If you later sign up again with the same email address, you start with a new, empty account.
